midPoint – open-source platform for Identity Governance

midPoint helps organisations to centrally manage digital identities and access rights across their entire lifecycle and to control them with full traceability.
The open-source platform midPoint, developed and supported by Evolveum, combines Identity Management and Identity Governance in a single solution. It can be operated in your own data centre, in the cloud or in hybrid environments and flexibly adapted to existing processes and system landscapes.

Evolveum has been developing midPoint since 2011. The publicly available source code and comprehensive documentation create transparency and give organisations the ability to independently review, extend and operate the platform. This prevents vendor lock-in and guarantees far-reaching sovereignty over the software and data storage.

KOGIT combines the open and flexibly customisable architecture of midPoint with many years of experience in Identity Governance, complex integrations and organically grown corporate structures.

midPoint maps the core processes of Identity Governance & Administration on a single platform. These include the management of identities and organisational structures, the provisioning and revocation of permissions, as well as approvals, recertifications and role-based access concepts.

A wide range of connectors and interfaces allows applications, directories and other target systems to be integrated into identity processes. Synchronisation and correlation functions consolidate identity data from different sources and create a consistent basis for automated lifecycle processes.

Simulations make it possible to review planned changes and their impact before they are implemented in production. Additional analysis functions help organisations to transparently assess role structures, anomalous permissions and potential governance risks.

As an open-source platform, midPoint makes its source code and documentation publicly available. Organisations can review the solution, adapt it to individual requirements and operate it without being permanently bound to the licence terms of a single software vendor. Complementing the professional support from Evolveum, the active midPoint community offers room for sharing experience, practical tips and the joint development of the software solution.
