See risks.
Stop threats.

Visibility, Detection and Response makes identity-related risks visible, detects suspicious activities and enables a fast, targeted response.

Identity Security needs more than control at the moment of sign-in.

Because identities, permissions and access patterns change continuously. Compromised accounts, unusual activities or misused privileges must therefore be detected early, assessed in the right context and stopped effectively.

Challenges for organisations:

Fragmented security data Missing identity context Unknown or risky identities Suspicious access patterns Misuse of privileged accounts Too many unprioritised alerts Slow escalation paths Isolated security systems Lack of real-time information Unclear response processes

KOGIT helps organisations to:

  1. 1.

    make identity risks visible

Which identities, permissions and access paths pose a particular risk?
  2. 2.

    detect attacks early

Which activities deviate from an identity’s expected behaviour?
  3. 3.

    classify security events correctly

Which identity is behind an event – and what access does it have?
  4. 4.

prioritise threats in a targeted way

    Which alerts require immediate action?
  5. 5.

    respond quickly and automatically

How can access be restricted immediately, sessions terminated or accounts locked?
  6. 6.

    continuously improve the security posture

Which misconfigurations and structural weaknesses need to be remedied for good?

The building blocks of Identity Threat Detection.

Effective Identity Threat Detection and Response combines continuous visibility, intelligent analysis and clearly defined responses. Only the interplay of identity, access and security data turns individual warning signals into a reliable picture of the situation.

Our solutions

Identity Security Posture Management

Identity Security Posture Management – ISPM for short – assesses the security posture of the entire identity landscape. Misconfigurations, unprotected accounts, excessive permissions and risky access paths become continuously visible. This makes it possible to prioritise weaknesses and improve Identity Security in a targeted way.

Identity Visibility and Intelligence Platform

An Identity Visibility and Intelligence Platform – IVIP for short – consolidates identity and access data across systems. It makes human and non-human identities, permissions, relationships and risks visible together. This produces actionable insights for IAM, security and compliance teams.

Identity-based attack and anomaly detection

Identity-based attack detection continuously analyses sign-ins, permission usage and access behaviour. Unusual locations, devices, access times and activities are detected early. Identity context helps to assess suspicious patterns in a targeted way and reduce false positives.

Risk assessment of identities

Permissions, privileged access, usage patterns and current security events are assessed together. This creates a dynamic risk picture that makes critical identities visible and enables targeted prioritisation.

ITDR scenarios

Identity Threat Detection and Response – ITDR for short – combines prevention, detection and response for compromised accounts, unusual privilege escalations, privilege misuse and conspicuous sign-in activities. The measures are tailored to the specific threat and system landscape.

Alerting, escalation and response

Detected risks are assessed by severity, context and potential impact, and relevant alerts are routed specifically to the responsible owners. Depending on the situation, additional checks are triggered, access is restricted, sessions are terminated or accounts are temporarily locked.

Threat Detection for privileged access

KOGIT makes unusual administrative activities, unexpected privilege escalations and suspicious access paths visible. When threats are detected, automated responses can immediately restrict access, terminate sessions or lock accounts.

SIEM integration and Shared Signals Framework

Identity and access signals are linked with SIEM, endpoint, cloud and security data. This creates a shared context for detecting and assessing threats. The Shared Signals Framework enables standardised signal exchange between systems, so that changed risks are also taken into account during active sessions.

Practical example:

An insurance company detects several sign-ins to a privileged account – outside normal working hours, from an unknown device and from a conspicuous region.

At first, the individual events appear inconspicuous. In combination with the identity context, however, it becomes clear that the account has access to sensitive contract and claims data as well as several business-critical applications.

The system raises the risk rating, alerts the security team and requests additional authentication. When further suspicious activities occur, the active session is automatically terminated and the account is temporarily locked.

By combining identity, access and security data, the company can quickly classify the incident, assess possible impacts and prevent further access.

Without visibility, threats stay hidden.

Without an overarching view of identities, permissions and activities, suspicious connections often go undetected. Individual warning signals get lost between different systems, while compromised identities can continue to access critical resources.

Visibility and Detection create the context needed to detect risks early and prioritise them correctly. Building on this, Response enables fast, targeted and automated measures to contain threats.

KOGIT Identity Security Process

Visibility first. Response follows.

KOGIT brings the identity and security perspectives together. With the Sense, Reveal, Shape, Activate, Advance process, we support organisations from analysing their threat landscape through developing concrete ITDR scenarios to continuous monitoring and improvement.
