Secure every identity.
Human or not.
Non-Human Identities enable applications, bots and AI agents to access systems, data and interfaces. Applications and bots work according to predefined patterns, while AI agents increasingly act autonomously. Both take on business-critical tasks. In many organisations, the number of non-human identities already exceeds that of human identities many times over – and the trend continues to rise.
This makes them a central component of modern Identity Security.
After all, machine identities are often created outside established IAM processes. Service accounts remain permanently active, secrets are passed on without control and AI agents make decisions independently. Organisations therefore need to know at all times which Non-Human Identities exist, what they access and in what context they act.
Challenges for organisations:
KOGIT helps organisations to:
-
1.
make Non-Human Identities visible
Which service accounts, workloads, bots and AI agents are active in the organisation? -
2.
manage lifecycles end to end
How are technical identities securely created, changed, reviewed and deactivated? -
3.
protect certificates and secrets
How can sensitive credentials be securely stored, rotated and provisioned in a controlled way? -
4.
assign responsibilities clearly
Who is responsible for a Non-Human Identity, its permissions and its activities? -
5.
control AI agents in real time
How can risky or unwanted actions be detected and contained immediately? -
6.
enable AI initiatives securely
How can innovative applications be scaled without neglecting governance and security?

NHI Governance
Practical example:
An insurance company uses an AI agent to analyse claims notifications and support claims processing.
To do so, the agent accesses contract data, claims files and internal applications. It receives only the rights it needs for the respective case. Certificates and secrets are managed securely, and all activities remain traceable.
If its task changes, the access rights are adjusted. If the agent is no longer used, they are revoked completely. This allows AI to be integrated securely and in a controlled way into existing processes.
Unseen identities create unseen risks.
Without effective governance for Non-Human Identities, unprotected secrets, orphaned service accounts and over-privileged AI agents can become gateways for attacks that are difficult to detect.
Especially in dynamic cloud and AI environments, technical identities are created faster than they can be controlled with conventional processes. Without continuous visibility, responsibilities, access and autonomous actions often remain unclear – with potential consequences for security, data protection, compliance and operational stability.
